As the Honorary Treasurer, Mr. Anson Wong oversees the finances, prepares financial reports, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with financial regulations.

Anson is a dynamic finance and technology professional, entrepreneur, and dedicated community volunteer based in Hong Kong. 

 

Anson's professional journey encompasses extensive experience at leading financial institutions and innovative startups. He has worked in equity derivatives trading at BNP Paribas, proprietary trading and market making at Verscale, and equity research at CLSA. His earlier roles include internships at KPMG, Morgan Stanley, and Odysseus Capital Asia Limited, reflecting a well-rounded foundation in global finance.

In addition to his roles in established institutions, Anson is the founder of the HKU Trading Group and currently serves as co-founder of a stealth startup, further highlighting his entrepreneurial drive and expertise at the intersection of finance and technology. His achievements include being the Individual Champion at the Public Futures Trading Contest and a Top 10 Individual Finalist at the Joint University Forex Investment Simulation Contest.

Before joining the board, Anson had been contributing as a Mensa Hong Kong volunteer for several years, mainly supported administration tasks.
