ADMISSION
TEST

1. Admission test fee:

   • Under 22 years old: HK$200 

   • At or after 22 years old: HK$400

2. A reservation is required at least three days (72 hours) before the test date, and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. No walk-ins are allowed.

3. Each candidate is permitted to reschedule his/her test date up to TWO times. There will be an administrative charge of HK$200 for each subsequent rescheduling of the test date.

4. Failure to appear without a valid reason and supporting evidence will incur an administrative charge of HK$200 for each subsequent rescheduling of the test date.

5. All tests take place in Central. You will receive a confirmation email with the exact venue of the test only after you have

   • paid for the test; and

   • submitted your personal information. 

6. All admission tests are held on Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. HK time (except for extra sessions during the summer months, which will be at 3:30 p.m.). 

7. Candidates should arrive 20 minutes before the test session. Latecomers may be denied entry and considered as failing to appear.

8. Please bring your own

   • pencil;

   • confirmation e-mail; and

   • Hong Kong/Macau/Mainland Resident ID card (other forms of identity documentation will not be accepted unless special permission is obtained beforehand).

9. If you are qualified to join Mensa and are a Hong Kong resident, the membership dues are HK$400 per annum (HK$ 200 if you are under 21 when the fees become due).

10. If you are qualified but are not a Hong Kong resident, you will be registered as a direct member of Mensa International.

11. If you do not qualify for membership, you are entitled to re-take the test for complete payment after 12 months from the date of your test.

12. You will be notified when the results are available. Since this test only serves as an entry test for Mensa Hong Kong, it should not be taken as a comprehensive IQ test. The exact score will not be disclosed, i.e. you will only be informed about whether you are qualified for membership.  

13. There will be no refund of any paid test fees.
