Admission Test

1. Age Requirement

• Minimum Age: Candidates must be at least 10 years of age on the date of the test to be eligible for admission.

• Underage Candidates: Please ensure the test taker meets the age requirement before booking. No refunds will be issued if payment is made for a candidate who has not yet turned 10 years old.

2. Test Fees and Payment

• Candidates under 22 years old: HKD 240

• Candidates 22 years old and above: HKD 480

• Payment Compliance: Candidates who fail to remit the appropriate payment in full may be refused entry to take the test.

 

3. Registration and Attendance

• Advance Booking Required: All test sessions require a prior reservation and are allocated on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins are not permitted.

• Arrival Time: Candidates must arrive at the testing venue at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled test session.

• Late Arrivals: Latecomers may be denied entry to the examination room. In such cases, the candidate will be considered a "no-show."

 

4. Rescheduling and No-Show Policy

• Complimentary Rescheduling: Each candidate is permitted to reschedule their test date one time free of charge.

• Additional Rescheduling: Any subsequent requests to reschedule the test date will incur an administrative fee of HKD 200 per request.

• No-Shows: Failure to appear for a scheduled test without a valid reason and supporting evidence will be treated as a no-show. To book a new test date after a no-show, candidates will be required to pay the HKD 200 administrative rescheduling fee.

 

5. Test Results and Retakes

• Scope of the Test: This assessment serves exclusively as an entry qualifying test for Mensa Hong Kong and should not be regarded as a comprehensive clinical IQ test.

• Result Disclosure: Candidates will be notified once their results are available. Exact scores will not be disclosed. You will only be informed whether you have met the qualifying standard for membership.

• Retake Policy: Candidates who do not qualify for membership may re-take the admission test after a waiting period of 12 months from their original test date. The full applicable test fee will be required for the retake.

 

6. Membership Eligibility

• Non-Residents: If you achieve a qualifying score but are not a resident of Hong Kong, you will be registered as a Direct Member of Mensa International.

 

7. Refund Policy

• Strictly Non-Refundable: All paid admission test fees are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.

 

8. General Provisions

• Right to Amend: Mensa Hong Kong reserves the right to update or modify these rules and terms without prior notice. Any changes will take effect immediately upon being posted on this website.

• Final Interpretation: Mensa Hong Kong reserves the right of final interpretation regarding these terms, conditions, and admission test rules.
